France-Grande Bretagne dans le Kent / Castles and Gardens of Kent : April 2013

8-11 avril 2013: un groupe part à la découverte des Châteaux et jardins du Kent. Il a fait un temps correct, un peu de pluie, quelques rayons de soleil , mais le ciel était souvent gris, hélas. Des châteaux magnifiques et les jardins beaux, malgré un printemps qui se faisait attendre. Le Spa Hotel, Tunbridge Wells, très agréable et Eltham Executive Coaches, efficaces, ont contribué au succès de ce séjour. Merci à Keith, notre chauffeur, toujours disponible et aimable .

Twenty-two F-GB members off to Kent for some fun,    One fell ill which left only twenty-one.	Castles and Gardens of Kent was the theme. Twenty-one of us left Tours, all very keen.
The castles were impressive, the gardens still bore winter's coat. Places so different, like Bodiam (here) and Ightham Mote.	The weather could have been better. It might have been worse! With occasional sunshine the smiles always came first.
Keith, our driver, guided us all along the way From nine in the morning to the end of each day.	Together we enjoyed ourselves, happy as could be. At Old Soar Manor the entrance was free!
The Battle of Britain Memorial, near Folkestone, by the sea, Was moving and impressive, a sight for all to see.
